1. The Birds | 1963 | Peacock

A wealthy San Francisco socialite pursues a potential boyfriend to a small Northern California town that slowly takes a turn for the bizarre when birds of all kinds suddenly begin to attack people. Perhaps one of Hitchcock’s most iconic movies, The Birds is a classic that is sure to thrill you this Halloween.

2. Alien | 1979 | Hulu

The crew of a commercial spacecraft encounter a deadly lifeform after investigating an unknown transmission. At the time of its release, it was deemed the scariest movie ever created. Although critics initially found it wanting, it has since become a classic horror movie that can’t be missed if you call yourself a horror movie buff.

A year after the murder of her mother, a teenage girl is terrorized by a new killer who targets the girl and her friends by using horror films as part of a deadly game.

4. The Blob | 1958 | Max

An alien lifeform consumes everything in its path as it grows and grows. Even though this movie is over 65 years old, it doesn’t fail to deliver the thrill that you expect from a Halloween thriller. Although critics were initially not a fan, it was a favorite among moviegoers in the 50s.

Three film students vanish after traveling into a Maryland forest to film a documentary on the local Blair Witch legend, leaving only their footage behind. The first film to use viral internet marketing to gain attention for the film’s release, it never fails to leave you guessing at the end, is this actually real?

Four young friends bound by a tragic accident are reunited when they find themselves being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town. This is a classic horror movie that no matter how many times you have seen it, it will re-hook you and keep you thrilled til the dead end.

A brilliant but eccentric scientist begins to transform into a giant man/fly hybrid after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong. Not only is this movie not for the squeamish at heart, the special effects of this film are so realistic for when it was made that it will keep you up at night!

Two American college students on a walking tour of Britain are attacked by a werewolf that none of the locals will admit exists.
