A New Vision for Personalized, Patient-First Healthcare
Dr. Amanda Brooke Hall, a fifth-generation osteopathic family physician, always knew she was destined for medicine. A graduate of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at UNT Health Science Center, she began her career in 2012, working in traditional insurance-based practices for over a decade. But in 2024, Dr. Hall made a bold decision — to step away from the constraints of insurance metrics and open her own direct primary care (DPC) practice, Thorne Family Medicine.
Located at the corner of Heritage Trace Parkway and North Beach Street, Thorne Family Medicine shares a space with her husband Dr. Matt Thorne’s second dental office, Thorne Family Dentistry. This unique setup is the true definition of a patient-centered medical home. By combining medical and dental services under one roof, Dr. Hall and Dr. Thorne’s aim is to provide seamless, comprehensive care for the whole family.
Thorne Family Medicine operates outside the traditional insurance system, with a transparent monthly membership model designed to put patients — not profits — first. Rates range from $50 per month for children to $100 per month for young adults ages 19–30, and $150 for those over 30 years, with a discount for paying annually.
There are no enrollment or cancellation fees, and patients receive major savings on labs, imaging, and other services — often costing significantly less than what patients would pay even with insurance.
Dr. Hall caps her patient panel to ensure individualized care. She offers extended time for new patients to establish care, and follow-up appointments are never rushed. Dr. Hall provides the ability to communicate directly with her via text, email or phone call. The goal is to empower patients to take charge of their health, promoting regular visits without the fear of hidden costs or rushed appointments.
As a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy), Dr. Hall’s philosophy centers on four principles — treating the whole person; recognizing the connection between body, mind, and spirit; understanding how structure affects function; and trusting in the body’s natural ability to heal. Her care is holistic and personalized, often avoiding medications unless truly necessary.
With a medical team dedicated to offering a highly personalized approach to healthcare, Thorne Family Medicine offers a refreshing, hands-on approach to modern healthcare rooted in tradition, trust, and genuine connection.
